Government of Ontario released its list of essential services; Kavin Group, as a business providing staffing services, including temporary help, has been declared an essential service under section number 69.
On March 23, Ontario announced it would be closing “at-risk” workplaces to protect health and safety and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
The Ontario government also published its list of essential services.
The following are exempt services in Ontario:
• Manufacturing and production
• Work required for supply chains
• Institutional, residential, commercial and industrial maintenance
• Telecommunications and IT infrastructure/service providers
• Transportation (including logistics)
• Research
Kavin Group continues to provide both permanent and temporary staffing services to our community and our clients.
We are advising our clients and staff to carefully read the guidance provided by the provinces in which you operate or do business to ensure you are familiar with the rules and how they apply to the current situation. We also encourage you to continue to put all of the necessary measures in place to protect the health and safety of your employees. The Government of Canada has posted resources for businesses to assist you and your business activities at this time.
